Position Details

  • Compensation: This is an unpaid internship position specifically designed for law students seeking externship academic credit.
  • Term: Summer 2026
  • Time Commitment: Approximately 15-20 hours per week
  • Work Arrangement: A hybrid work arrangement is preferred; however, fully remote arrangements may be considered based on circumstances.

Responsibilities & Learning Opportunities

This externship offers law students a comprehensive learning experience within our Legal Department. The successful intern’s responsibilities and developmental opportunities will include:

  • Assisting with and participating in the daily activities and special projects of the Legal Department.
  • Benefiting from direct coaching and mentoring by seasoned in-house attorneys.
  • Attending and actively participating in internal and cross-functional meetings and presentations.
  • Drafting memoranda on diverse areas of legal interest, potentially including commercial compliance, intellectual property, and/or employment law, and receiving structured feedback.
  • Gaining an in-depth understanding of the commercial contract process and engaging in contract review.
  • Developing proficiency with important legal tools and systems used in a corporate legal environment.
  • Reviewing and becoming familiar with Repligen’s internal policies and processes.
  • Building professional relationships with organizational leaders and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Shadowing attorneys in critical meetings and negotiations to observe practical legal strategy and application.

Qualifications

We are seeking highly motivated and talented law students who meet the following criteria:

  • Current enrollment in an ABA-accredited law school is required.
  • Possess a strong GPA and academic record, demonstrating a commitment to excellence.
  • Exhibit a highly motivated, responsible, and professional approach to all tasks.
  • Demonstrate well-developed organizational and communication skills (both written and verbal).
  • Possess the ability to work effectively as a member of a team and to independently manage tasks as experience is gained.
  • Display a genuine interest in in-house legal work, with a specific preference for candidates interested in the biotech, pharmaceutical, or bioprocessing industries.
  • Hold a strong desire to learn and develop key legal skills within a dynamic corporate setting.
