About the Internship
Lochner’s internship program offers college students a valuable opportunity to gain real-world experience in a specific area of study. Interns will work in a fast-paced professional setting, applying academic knowledge and skills while collaborating with experienced professionals and contributing to impactful projects in their chosen field.

Your Impact (Key Responsibilities)
As a Civil Engineering Intern, you will:

  • Perform engineering design tasks, including roadway and bridge design, under the direction of an experienced Project Manager.
  • Manage and maintain comprehensive project documentation.

Who You Are (Qualifications)

  • Currently pursuing or holding a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Civil Engineering.
  • 0-2 years of relevant experience.
  • Available to intern during Summer 2026.

Physical Requirements
This role requires the ability to perform essential functions, which may include:

  • Intermittent sitting, walking, standing, bending, squatting, climbing, kneeling, twisting, stooping, crawling, and lifting.
  • Frequently lifting and/or moving light equipment up to 20 pounds.
  • Remaining alert to field equipment and working near hazardous machinery.
  • Occasional work on uneven ground, exposure to dust, gas or fumes, noise, temperature/humidity extremes, and potential work at heights.
