Program Overview:
Embark on a dynamic 10-week summer internship program designed to immerse you in the exciting world of health insurance sales, specifically focusing on the Medicare business. This program offers a comprehensive and structured training curriculum tailored to equip you with essential knowledge and skills to serve Medicare-eligible members and prospective clients seeking healthcare coverage.
Key Learning & Development Areas:
- Medicare Business Expertise: Gain an in-depth understanding of the Medicare landscape, including its complexities and the services provided to eligible members.
- Professional Development: Benefit from a rich schedule of networking opportunities, basic technical skills training, and engaging speaker series, alongside additional enrichment activities throughout the summer.
- Sales & Presentation Mastery: Actively develop and refine your selling and presentation skills through practical experiences, including selling competitions, simulated practice scenarios, real-world projects, and valuable job shadowing opportunities.
- Industry Exposure: Achieve broad exposure to the end-to-end sales process within the health insurance sector, understanding our consumer base, and appreciating the organization’s pivotal role in the market.
- Strategic Understanding: Develop a keen understanding of the Direct-to-Consumer Sales model and its critical function within overall distribution strategies.
Hands-on Experience:
- Contribute to delivering a high-quality agent experience by supporting agent interactions.
- Assist with inquiries and provide relevant information and resources, either directly or through collaborative team efforts.
- This role provides valuable hands-on exposure to sales and sales support processes, directly contributing to operational excellence.
Requirements:
- Academic Standing: Must be currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university throughout the duration of the internship. This program is specifically designed for students who are not graduating seniors during the internship period.
- Target Class Year: Applicants must be a Rising Senior during the summer of 2026.
- Field of Study: Preferred majors include Business, Economics, Sales, Marketing, or a related field.
- Work Authorization: Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without requiring company sponsorship, now or in the future, for employment-based work authorization.
Compensation:
The compensation for this role is competitive, ranging from $18 – $32 per hour.
