Purpose of the Internship: Marketing Partnerships Intern (Spring 2026)
The New York Red Bulls invite highly motivated college students to join our dynamic Marketing Partnerships team as an Intern for the Spring 2026 semester. This invaluable, for-credit opportunity is designed to provide aspiring sports professionals with a comprehensive understanding of a crucial revenue-generating department within the sports industry. Interns will gain practical experience and insight into the full lifecycle of sports sponsorships, from initial sales to ongoing activation. This internship will begin in late January and run through mid-April, offering a structured learning experience for those eager to pursue a career in the competitive sports industry.
Key Learning & Responsibilities:
- Shadow and support the Sponsorship Sales team in identifying prospective new brand partners and developing customized partnership proposals. This includes market research, competitive analysis, and contributing to compelling sales presentations.
- Assist the Sponsorship Activation team in managing and fulfilling current partnership accounts, ensuring successful execution of contractual elements and client satisfaction.
- Contribute to data compilation, post-campaign reporting, and other administrative tasks essential for seamless team operations.
- Gain exposure to client relationship management, event-day activations, and the strategic planning processes within a professional sports organization.
- Participate in team meetings, brainstorming sessions, and contribute fresh perspectives to partnership initiatives.
- Undertake special projects as assigned, providing broad exposure to various facets of sports marketing and partnerships.
Internship Details & Logistics:
- Program Duration: Spring 2026 Semester (late January through mid-April).
- Commitment: Approximately 15-20 hours per week for office hours, primarily on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. Flexible scheduling will be accommodated based on academic commitments.
- Mandatory Availability: Interns must be available to work all New York Red Bulls home matches, which may occur on evenings, weekends, and holidays. Due to the cyclical nature of the entertainment industry, assigned hours may vary to reflect our operational needs.
- Compensation: This is an unpaid internship.
- College Credit: This internship is for college credit only. Proof of eligibility to receive academic credit from your institution is a mandatory requirement.

- Possesses a proactive attitude, eager to learn, open to new ideas, and takes initiative in their work.
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail, excellent time management skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal) are a significant advantage.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) is preferred.
