The Role: Engineering Intern

This is a dynamic learning position with the intention to gain comprehensive knowledge of EFCO Corp.’s engineering applications and Project Plan. As an Engineering Intern, you will play a crucial role in compiling visual perceptions of EFCO Corp.’s products, which are vital for sales, manufacturing, and the efficient erection of EFCO forms. You will provide essential engineering support to assist sales, enabling customers to use EFCO products in a safe and efficient manner. Furthermore, you will contribute to continuous improvement by recommending methods, materials, and layouts based on manufacturing needs and capabilities. You will gain exposure to fundamental concepts, practices, and procedures for forming applications.

Key Responsibilities (Duties)

General job duties for the Engineering Intern include:

• Preparation of equipment requirements for various projects.
• Analysis of the structural stability of forming systems.
• Creation of detailed erection drawings and specifications.
• Reviewing drawings and equipment takeoffs to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Assisting with the engineering and drafting functions for critical pre-sales projects.

Qualifications

To thrive in this role, applicants should possess:

• A strong work ethic and a proactive approach to learning.
• Excellent communication and time management skills.
• A keen desire to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Currently pursuing a BS/BA degree in Civil, Mechanical, or Construction Engineering.
• A working knowledge of Computer Aided Design (CAD) or equivalent software is essential.
• Strong written and oral communication skills are a must.
• Excellent leadership, problem-solving, organizational, and PC skills are required.
