About the Job: Marex US Summer Internship Program – Finance Intern

Purpose of Role – Finance Intern
The Finance Intern supports the accuracy of financial records through account reconciliations, journal entry preparation, and cash allocation activities. This role assists with month-end and quarter-end close processes, maintains audit-ready documentation, and responds to ad hoc requests from finance and cross-functional teams. By collaboratively resolving discrepancies, the intern helps ensure strong financial controls and efficient operational workflows.
Responsibilities
• Prepare and post journal entries in accordance with accounting standards.
• Assist with cash allocation processes to support operational efficiency.
• Respond to ad hoc requests from the finance team and other departments.
• Support month-end and quarter-end close activities, including account analysis.
• Maintain organized documentation for audits and compliance purposes.
• Collaborate with team members to identify and resolve discrepancies promptly.
• Act as a role model for demonstrating the highest level of integrity and conduct, reflecting Company Values.
• At all times, comply with Marex’s Code of Conduct.
• Ensure full awareness of and adherence to internal policies that relate to the role or any activities for which there is responsibility.
• Report any policy breaches to Compliance and/or your supervisor as required.
• Escalate risk events immediately.
• Provide input to risk management processes, as required.
The Company may require you to carry out other duties from time to time.

Skills and Experience:
• Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in accounting or business administration is preferred, but business law and legal studies / prelaw are accepted.
• Genuine interest in one or more of the program’s departmental tracks.
• Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for current or future sponsorship, including, but not limited to, F-1, J-1, and M-1 visa holders, as well as individuals on CPT or OPT.
