Position Summary: Technology Operations Intern (Summer)

Arcesium is actively seeking an exceptional Technology Operations Intern to join our dynamic team for the summer internship program. This immersive experience is meticulously designed to provide interns with invaluable exposure to the critical projects and vibrant environment at Arcesium. Specifically, on the development side, the Intern will gain hands-on knowledge and actively contribute to the lifecycle of shipping sophisticated applications and features that are fundamental to powering our business operations. The internship offers a unique opportunity to deep dive into complex data-centric problems, employing analytical skills to extract meaningful and actionable insights for the business. This role provides a high level of exposure, as the intern will directly report to the Office of the CTO and will have the distinct privilege of working closely with senior technology leaders throughout the tenure of their internship, gaining mentorship and strategic insights.

Responsibilities

As a Technology Operations Intern, your key responsibilities will include:

• Strategic Initiative Support: Provide direct support to the Office of the CTO on critical strategic initiatives. These initiatives are designed to cut across the entire breadth and depth of Arcesium’s platform, offering a comprehensive view of our technology landscape and strategic direction.
• Data-Centric Tool & Visualization Development: Implement robust, data-centric tools and develop insightful visualizations. The primary objective is to extract meaningful insights related to key benchmark indicators crucial for assessing platform throughput & resilience, as well as enhancing overall operational excellence across our systems.
• Financial Performance Insight Generation: Construct specialized tools and visualizations specifically aimed at extracting critical insights into the financial performance of various product modules within Arcesium. This will involve analyzing data to understand revenue generation, cost efficiency, and overall profitability of different offerings.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate for this role will possess the following qualifications:

• Academic Background: Currently pursuing a major in a STEM field (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics).
• Passion for Technology: A clearly demonstrated and genuine passion for technology and a strong inclination towards innovative problem solving.
• Technical Fundamentals: A basic understanding of web application design principles, comfort and proficiency with at least one programming language, and an eager desire to learn about new technologies and complex systems.
• Coding Experience: A strong academic foundation in computer science, complemented by at least three years of either personal or professional coding experience, demonstrating practical application of programming skills.
• Preferred Technical Skills (Strong Plus): Professional or personal hands-on experience with technologies such as Java, Kotlin, TypeScript, SQL, and/or AWS (Amazon Web Services). Experience in these areas will be considered a significant advantage.
• Communication & Argumentation: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, coupled with the ability to construct rigorous, well-reasoned arguments and present them clearly and persuasively.

Compensation

The expected monthly salary for this highly competitive internship position is $10,000. Our comprehensive compensation package also includes a valuable one-time housing stipend to support our interns during their summer with us.
