Quality Assurance/Quality Control Assistant (Internship)

Overview
This position offers a unique opportunity to work alongside Field Engineers during the construction or maintenance of wind farms, solar farms, and other renewable energy projects. As a Quality Assurance/Quality Control Assistant, you will operate under close supervision, focusing on ensuring conformance of materials, installation, and equipment to The Company or Client specifications.

Key responsibilities include:
• Performing detailed inspections.
• Generating reports of conditions found during inspection activities.
• Proactively notifying supervisors of any identified problems.

Please note: Relocation for this position will be required to our Dallas, TX office, as this is an in-office role.

Responsibilities
As a Quality Assurance/Quality Control Assistant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety on our projects:

Promote and comply with all Company safety policies and procedures diligently.
• Assist with the inspection quality of work performed during daily construction activities on wind and solar projects.
• Demonstrate strong organizational, planning, and time management skills to effectively manage tasks.
• Plan and conduct daily activities in a highly organized manner to ensure all QC and QA data are properly and accurately recorded.
• Help detect and address deficiencies in a timely and effective manner.
• Work closely with the field engineering staff, acting as their field representative to ensure construction complies with all QA/QC requirements.
• Interface with field foremen to maintain open lines of communication and monitor job progress effectively.
• Help compile all necessary information to create a comprehensive operations and maintenance manual/file, including subcontractor lists with contacts and phone numbers, and operation instructions for all components.
• Help maintain complete and accurate records during inspections, ensuring they can be transferred to permanent hard copy and/or electronic files.
• Inspect the work and assist in establishing punch lists.
• Assist in determining the calibration status of measuring and test equipment.
• Interact cross-functionally with Field Engineers and other team members.

Qualifications

EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
Currently enrolled in a Bachelor of Science degree program studying Business Management, Project Management, Data Science/Analytics, or a related field.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
• Take reasonable care of your own and others’ health and safety, and of those who may be affected by the day-to-day delivery of this role, by taking personal responsibility for working toward The Company’s Zero Injury principles.
• Working knowledge of Word and Excel.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret blueprints and technical procedures.
• Ability to write daily reports and document project activities.
• Proficiency in calculating figures and amounts such as area, circumference, and volume.
• Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
• Ability to solve problems individually and in a team setting.
• Requires the ability to communicate clearly and interface effectively with a diverse group of field-level employees.
