Internship Details:
We are actively seeking Audit Summer Interns to join our dynamic team in our White Plains, NY office for the Summer 2027 period (June – August). This internship offers a real-world introduction to the auditing profession.

Work Arrangement: Hybrid Model
This position is considered hybrid, emphasizing intentional in-person collaboration. While the specific in-office cadence is determined at the team level, professionals are encouraged to be in the office or together in person on average 3 days a week. Most CohnReznick professionals reside within commuting distance of an office, fostering strong team connections.

Your Role: Audit Summer Intern
As an Audit Summer Intern, you will play a key supporting role within our audit teams. This position offers invaluable hands-on experience with fundamental accounting and auditing practices. You’ll gain exposure to a diverse client base and various industries, collaborate directly with seasoned professionals, and benefit from structured mentorship designed to accelerate your development.

Responsibilities Include But Not Limited To:

  • Actively participate in various aspects of an audit engagement, including tasks related to cash management, bank reconciliations, accounts payable, searching for unrecorded liabilities, maintaining confirmation logs, and meticulously preparing audit work papers.
  • Assist with audits, reviews, compilations, and other accounting services, gaining a broad understanding of assurance functions.
  • Take part in resolving audit issues by effectively obtaining necessary evidence and making inquiries of clients, while actively assisting the team with daily client workflow and administrative tasks.
  • Collaborate with other interns and professionals on hands-on projects, enabling you to build real-world skills, expand your professional network, and position yourself for success in the competitive accounting industry.

The Successful Candidate Will Have:
We are looking for individuals who meet the following qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting.
  • On track to complete 150 credit hours for CPA eligibility between May 2027 and September 2028.
  • A strong academic record, demonstrated by a minimum 3.2 GPA in both your major and overall coursework.
  • Must have successfully completed Intermediate Accounting with a grade of B or higher.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience in student groups, extracurricular activities, or team-based academic projects.
  • Possess excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and exhibit sharp critical thinking abilities.
  • Comfortable navigating and thriving in fast-paced environments and adaptable to change.
  • Must have advanced skills in Excel and PowerPoint, and a strong eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident.

Compensation & Benefits:
In New York, the salary for an Audit Summer Intern is $34 per hour.
