<p>The Global Product Line Management (GPLM) division stands at the forefront of market intelligence, acting as the strategic compass for our product portfolio. Our core mission is to conduct rigorous industry and competitive analysis, pinpointing emerging opportunities and potential risks across critical regions including Canada, Mexico, South America, Europe, India, the Middle East, Africa, and Asia Pacific. We serve as the central hub for synthesizing market insights, working hand-in-hand with market-level PLM teams who delve into deep dive evaluations of the latest sector changes.</p>
<p>Your role within GPLM will be crucial in transforming this vast intelligence into comprehensive evaluations for Senior Leadership’s awareness and acceptance. A deep and comprehensive understanding of each Global Region’s industry landscape, specific segments, competitive sets, powertrain trends, and diverse consumer behaviors forms the bedrock of our analytical objectives for this internship.</p>

<h3>Major Responsibilities</h3>

<li><strong>Strategic Forecasting Development:</strong&gt Spearhead the development and refinement of sophisticated forecasting methodologies for the Global Region’s Total Industry Volume (TIV), key vehicle segments, and competitor model lines, providing critical foresight for future planning.</li>
<li><strong>Data-Driven Storytelling:</strong&gt Apply advanced statistical techniques to complex, multi-source market data from various origins, aggregating insights into cohesive, executive-ready storyboards that illuminate market dynamics and inform strategic direction.</li>
<li><strong>Competitive Intelligence & Powertrain Strategy:</strong&gt Map the intricate evolution of competitive model lines by powertrain, leveraging your forecasts to prepare compelling proposals for future vehicle powertrain outlooks. Your analytical prowess will provide crucial support and rationale to influence leadership decisions on Hyundai and Genesis model portfolios by market.</li>
<li><strong>Visual Analytics & Critical Thinking:</strong&gt Conduct thorough analysis, apply critical thinking, and utilize coding skills to create impactful visualizations, ensuring market alignment and delivering logical, actionable insights through clear storytelling.</li>
<li><strong>Market Data Management & Collaboration:</strong&gt Systematically organize and categorize refreshed monthly market data into efficient clusters and tables for analysis. You’ll actively communicate with Global PLM teams across the globe to collect essential data and obtain feedback on emerging industry trends, legislative actions, and competitor strategies.</li>
<li><strong>Regional Market Deep Dive:</strong&gt Research unique country-level sales drivers, competitive factors, and regulatory impacts to determine crucial business implications that shape our global strategy.</li>
<li><strong>Global Team Collaboration:</strong&gt Cultivate strong professional relationships and collaborate effectively with over 70 PLM team members across headquarters and global regions, clearly communicating deliverables and thriving in multilingual environments.</li>

<h3>Education & Qualifications</h3>
<p>To thrive in this impactful role, we are looking for a candidate who possesses:</p>

<li>Must be a high school graduate.</li>
<li>Must be a currently enrolled undergraduate or graduate student in a related functional field such as Business Analytics, Economics, Statistics, Marketing, or Engineering with a strong business focus.</li>

<h3>Important Internship Details</h3>
<ul>
<li>This is a full-time, paid internship opportunity available from <strong>June to August 2026</strong>.</li>
<li>The position is located in <strong>Fountain Valley, CA</strong>. Please note that relocation assistance or housing will not be offered.</li>
<li>You must be eligible to work up to 40 hours per week during the internship period.</li>
<li>Legal authorization to work in the US on a full-time basis throughout the internship is required. Visa sponsorship is <strong>not</strong> available for this role.</li>
<li>Standard work hours are 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday.</li>
</ul>

<h3>Compensation</h3>
<p>This position offers competitive compensation at <strong>$25.00 per hour</strong>.</p>
