About the Opportunity: Social Impact Intern

We are seeking a dynamic and passionate Social Impact Intern to join our collaborative Communications and Brand Team. This team plays a pivotal role in maintaining a holistic view of International, connecting critical initiatives and stories across the entire organization. This summer internship offers a unique chance to contribute directly to our sustainability journey, amplify our positive impact, and gain invaluable experience in corporate communications and social responsibility within a global enterprise.

What You’ll Do: Key Responsibilities

  • Proactively identify, research, and craft compelling social impact stories that highlight International’s commitment to sustainability and community engagement.
  • Deepen understanding and educate internal and external stakeholders on our company’s diverse range of social impact initiatives, from employee programs to customer impact.
  • Assist in developing clear and engaging communications around employee sustainability learning programs and donation policies.
  • Contribute to creating impactful talking points for customer and dealer communications related to our social responsibility efforts.
  • Coordinate, plan, and actively participate in engaging volunteer events for interns, including preparations for our fall program planning.
  • Provide essential support to our overarching sustainability strategy communications, helping to articulate our vision and progress through compelling storytelling.

What We’re Looking For: Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree.
  • Qualified candidates, excluding current employees, must be legally authorized on an unrestricted basis (US Citizen, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee or Asylee) to be employed in the United States. International does not anticipate providing employment-related work sponsorship for this position (e.g., H-1B or F-1 status).

Desired Skills & Experience:

  • At least Sophomore standing for undergraduate applicants at the time of application.
  • Ability to commit to working at least 12 weeks, typically starting end of May or early June through August.
  • Previous applicable internship experience in communications, sustainability, corporate social responsibility, or a related field is a distinct advantage.
  • A proactive, self-starter mentality with the ability to take initiative, manage tasks effectively, and contribute independently.
  • High level of proficiency in computer skills, including Microsoft Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and internet research.

Compensation & Benefits

International offers a competitive total rewards package designed to ensure job satisfaction both on and off the job. The expected compensation for this campus intern opening ranges from $27 – $32 per hour. The hourly pay rate is determined by your year in school and is non-negotiable.
