About the Role:

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our dynamic Platform Innovation team. This role is pivotal in shaping the core infrastructure and services that power all of our applications, directly impacting millions of users and our business success. You will be instrumental in designing, developing, and deploying critical platform components, driving best practices, and pushing the boundaries of what’s possible.

What You’ll Do:

• Design and Develop: Architect, design, develop, and deploy highly scalable, reliable, and secure backend services and APIs that form the foundation of our platform.
• Technical Leadership: Drive technical discussions, contribute to architectural decisions, and provide leadership in adopting new technologies and methodologies.
• Code Quality & Best Practices: Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code. Advocate for and implement robust testing, code reviews, and continuous integration/deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
• Performance & Optimization: Proactively identify and address performance bottlenecks, latency issues, and scalability challenges across our distributed systems.
• Collaboration & Mentorship: Collaborate closely with product managers, UX designers, and other engineering teams to translate requirements into technical solutions. Mentor junior engineers, fostering their growth and skill development.
• Problem Solving: Debug and resolve complex technical issues across multiple layers of the stack, ensuring high availability and operational excellence.
• Innovation: Research, evaluate, and integrate new technologies and tools to enhance our platform’s capabilities and drive innovation.
• Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation for design, implementation, and operational procedures.

What You’ll Bring:

• Experience: 5+ years of professional software development experience, with a significant portion focused on backend systems and distributed architectures.
• Technical Proficiency:
• Strong command of at least one modern programming language such as Java, Go, Python, C#, or Node.js.
• Extensive experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP), including services like compute (EC2, Kubernetes), databases (RDS, DynamoDB, MongoDB), messaging (Kafka, SQS), and serverless technologies.
• Deep understanding of database technologies, both relational (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL (e.g., Cassandra, Redis), and experience with data modeling.
• Solid grasp of microservices architecture, RESTful APIs, and asynchronous programming patterns.
• Proficiency with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) and CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions).
• Architectural Acumen: Proven ability to design and implement robust, scalable, and fault-tolerant systems from concept to production.
• Problem-Solving Skills: Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills.
• Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Ownership: A strong sense of ownership, urgency, and drive. You take pride in your work and are committed to delivering high-quality solutions.
