Job Title: Fire Protection Engineering Intern

Location: Anaheim, CA

Responsibilities:

  • Performs a variety of technical tasks, both routine and moderately complex, to gain familiarity with programs, staff, and operating procedures.
  • Collaborate and work under the direction of engineers to support Code Consulting, Fire Protection engineering, and/or Security design efforts.
  • Performs developmental assignments involving the application of standard engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria in carrying out routine engineering tasks under close supervision.
  • Applies prescribed methods to complete limited and specific portions of broader assignments from experienced engineers, adjusts and correlates data, recognizes discrepancies in results, and follows operations through a series of related detailed steps or processes.

Qualifications:

  • Working towards a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Fire Protection, Mechanical, Chemical, or other related engineering fields.
  • At least two years of undergraduate schooling completed.
  • A responsible self-starter with strong problem-solving and reasoning skills.
  • Demonstrates effective written and oral communication skills for reports, business correspondence, presentations, and procedure manuals, and for responding to questions from managers, clients, and the public.
  • Possesses a passion for advancing the science of making our world safe, secure and resilient, and for exceeding client expectations.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • National Pay Range: $20—$30 USD (hourly).

Final compensation may vary based on factors including responsibilities, education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, geographic location, internal equity, and market data alignment.
