About Company

The specific team for this internship is the Design Studio content team, which is responsible for establishing and maintaining Tesla’s distinctive tone of voice across all customer-facing communications. This includes web content, email campaigns, in-store posters, and other marketing materials. The team’s core objective is to ensure accuracy and consistency in all communications directed at both prospective and current Tesla owners.

What To Expect (Internship Program Details)
• Start Date: The position is anticipated to commence in May 2026.
• Duration: It will continue through the summer term, concluding approximately August 2026 or potentially later, if circumstances allow. A minimum commitment of 12 weeks is required.
• Work Schedule: The role is full-time (40 hours/week) and requires an on-site presence for most internships.
• Eligibility: This program is exclusively for students actively enrolled in an academic program. Recent graduates seeking full-time employment after graduation, and not returning to school, should apply for full-time positions instead of internships.
• International Students: Those with CPT work authorization must consult their academic institution to confirm their ability to work 40 hours per week on-site, as many students may have part-time limitations during the academic year.
What You’ll Do (Responsibilities)
• Provide support to the global Design Studio content and copywriting team for all customer-facing communications, encompassing both digital and printed formats.
• Acquire and consistently apply the Tesla brand voice across all written communications.
• Ensure rigorous accuracy in tone, product descriptions, and specifications for all assigned tasks.
• Generate copy for customer-facing communications, working from provided briefs or outlines of requirements.
• Adhere to project deadlines and proactively communicate milestones to relevant project partners.
• Proofread and edit drafted copy submitted by internal teams.
• Conduct research to investigate and validate copy for factual accuracy.
• Participate in brainstorming sessions to develop creative and innovative strategies for engaging with customers and owners.
• Track and log content analytics.
What You’ll Bring (Qualifications)
• Required Qualifications:
• Currently pursuing a degree in Communications, Journalism, Advertising, or a related field.
• Demonstrated interest in technology and/or sustainability.
• Proven ability to deliver high-quality writing even under tight deadlines.
• Exceptional attention to detail.
• Excellent copywriting and editing skills.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Bonus Qualification:
• Prior experience writing for a school newspaper.
Compensation and Benefits
• Expected Compensation: The hourly rate ranges from $20.00 to $50.00, in addition to benefits.
