Job Description
Job Title: Inventory Control Supervisor
Summary of the Role:
The Inventory Control Supervisor is a crucial leadership position at Shinesty, responsible for ensuring precise inventory accuracy at the bin level. This role acts as the “protector” of Shinesty’s inventory, which is considered its biggest asset. It demands a sharp attention to detail, innovative problem-solving, process creation, training, and robust Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) management. The supervisor will be a key point of contact, requiring frequent and high-level communication both within their department and with other departments like operations and accounting.
Key Responsibilities:
• Inventory Management:
• Effectively manage and ensure accuracy of physical inventory through continuous cycle counts, frequent inventory projects, and product restock.
• Oversee the day-to-day operations of inventory control.
• Conduct root-cause analysis when inventory problems are identified.
• Proactively communicate with operations and accounting teams, escalating priority issues in a timely manner.
• Implement and manage Loss Prevention strategies.
• Ensure timely and complete processing of all transactions (e.g., transfer orders, adjustments, counts, replenishments) to maintain accuracy.
• Manage multiple virtual warehouses, including those for damaged inventory, custom inventory, and FBA (Fulfilled by Amazon) inventory.
• Training and Development:
• Develop training programs and SOPs for the department to standardize processes and ensure consistent execution.
• Inventory Replenishment:
• Oversee daily restock activities.
• Maintain the organization and cleanliness of aisles and pick bins.
• Generate and analyze reporting requirements to meet or exceed budget expectations for replenishment.
• Inventory Counting:
• Manage daily bin-level counting.
• Orchestrate annual or bi-annual physical counts.
• Perform reconciliation of inventory discrepancies.
• Generate and analyze reporting requirements to meet or exceed budget expectations for counts.
• Operational Support:
• Assist with regular equipment maintenance and cleanliness.
• Ensure strict compliance with safety codes, policies, and procedures of Shinesty and OSHA standards.
• Provide assistance with purchase order receiving, wholesale orders, or fulfillment duties as business needs dictate.

Requirements:
• Technical Skills:
• Intermediate Microsoft Office experience, particularly Excel.
• Ability to efficiently navigate through an app-based handheld device (similar to a cell phone).
• Soft Skills & Work Ethic:
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work effectively in both independent and team settings.
• Punctuality and consistent attendance (“Show up for your shifts, on time.”).
• Possess a strong work ethic and a “hardest working, most bad-ass, chillest of the wiliest” attitude.
• Stellar intra and inter-departmental communication skills.
Education And Experience:
• College-level coursework in Supply Chain Management, Inventory Tracking, or related fields is preferred.
• Basic comprehension and exposure to Inventory tracking software.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
This position directly supervises inventory associates, ensuring timely and accurate restock and inventory reconciliation.
Work Environment:
The role involves working in both an office setting and a warehouse environment. Employees will routinely use standard office equipment (computers, printers, desks) and standard warehouse equipment (tablets, scanners, hand dollies, pallet jacks, and forklifts).
Physical Demands:
• May require long periods of standing.
• Regularly required to use hands for tasks such as fingering, handling, feeling, reaching, grasping, and pinching.
• Regularly required to use hands and arms for various actions, and to talk or hear.
• Occasionally required to lift and/or move objects up to 49 lbs.
• Frequently required to sit, climb, or balance.
• Specific vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust and focus.
Position Type/Expected Hours Of Work:
• This is a full-time position.
• Requires flexibility to work diverse schedules, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Significant flexibility is required during the peak retail season (October – January).

Contract Details:
An evaluation period is set for 3 months from the start date.
Compensation:
The compensation range for this position is $20-$22.5/Hr.
