Job Description: Nurse Internship

This Nurse Internship offers a valuable opportunity for student nurses to gain hands-on experience and fulfill their passion for nursing at Mobridge Regional Hospital.

Program Overview:
• Opportunity for Growth: Interns have the amazing opportunity to rotate shifts and departments, including Medical Surgical, OB, ICU, and ER.
• Guided Experience: Interns work closely alongside qualified preceptors and are assigned a mentor.
• Diverse Experience: To expand experiences, interns change mentors halfway through the program, and MRH strives to provide as many varied nursing experiences as possible by working different shifts in diverse departments.
• Scholarships: Scholarships are available, and interns are encouraged to apply. MRH also offers scholarships specifically for individuals planning to return to the facility as an RN.

Internship Details:
• Duration: Eight (8) week time frame.
• Hours: Guaranteed 36 hours per week, with the opportunity to pick up additional hours as an aide if 40 hours is preferred.
• Schedule:
• Internship orientation begins in the first week of June.
• Preceptor experience begins the second week of June and runs for 8 weeks.
• Interns’ schedules will mirror their mentor’s schedule.

Internship Requirements:
• Must be enrolled in a BSN program.
• Successfully completed the program requirements with no more than two semesters remaining.
• Must maintain a positive standing with their school.
• Must have a 2.8 GPA or higher.
