Strategy & Management Summer Associate Program – Job Description

The Strategy & Management Summer Associate Program offers an exclusive preview of Bank of America’s elite, two-year Strategy and Management Program. The full program is designed to develop future corporate leaders by providing direct experience in Digital Technologies, FinTech, Strategy, Innovation, and Management.

As a summer intern, you will be part of the Bank of America Strategy and Business Ventures team, which functions as an internal strategic consulting group. This team is instrumental in driving strategic growth initiatives across the bank’s core business units. Interns will gain exposure to various parts of the business and learn to develop, test, launch, and operationalize new strategies aimed at better serving clients.

The program includes a comprehensive training curriculum, taught by BofA and industry experts, focusing on developing general manager capabilities. You will acquire high-fidelity learning opportunities in broadly relevant skills such as research, modeling, presentations, problem-solving methodologies, data visualization, and storytelling, alongside exposure to a diverse array of people, processes, and organizations within the bank. As a Strategy & Business Ventures teammate, you will contribute to building and accelerating new business capabilities in areas like client experience, product innovation, FinTech, strategic ventures, and portfolio management.

As a Strategy & Management Summer intern, you will:

Gain an in-depth understanding of business and client needs by supporting high-priority strategic initiatives across various business units like Product, Digital, and Small Business.
Design and execute qualitative and/or quantitative analyses to test and analyze hypotheses.
Synthesize findings, develop recommendations, and effectively communicate solutions to internal stakeholders.
Collaborate with a diverse group of high-performing peers and leaders within project teams.
Obtain extensive business understanding and explore opportunities through exposure to senior leaders and industry-recognized experts.
Partner with other interns across the firm to participate in bank-sponsored volunteer and environmental, social, & governance (ESG) initiatives.

Required Qualifications:

• Must be a graduate student enrolled in a full-time MBA or master’s degree program from an accredited college or university.
Graduation timeframe must be between December 2026 and August 2027.
• Pursuing a field that includes, but is not limited to: Management, Economics, Finance, Mathematics, Data Analysis, FinTech, Product Management, Project Management.
• Possess 3-5 years of work experience between your bachelor’s and MBA or master’s degree, with a demonstrated record of achievement.
• A 3.2 minimum GPA is preferred.
• A history of high achievement and a highly motivated self-starter.
• Demonstrates curiosity and a growth mindset, capable of adapting to change quickly with a positive manner.
• Excited about solving problems.
• Appreciates an environment that supports learning, innovation, and intelligent risk-taking.
• Demonstrates analytic problem-solving skills with a creative outlook.
• Builds and nurtures strong relationships, while collaborating effectively to achieve goals.
• Demonstrates strong logical reasoning, listening, communication, and presentation skills.

• Excitement about enabling financial service solutions for Consumer & Small Business clients and reimagining the future of banking.
