Job Description: Senior AI/ML Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and passionate Senior AI/ML Engineer to join our innovative engineering team. In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in the research, design, development, and deployment of advanced artificial intelligence and machine learning models and systems that form the core of our product offerings. You will work on challenging problems, contributing to scalable, robust, and high-performance solutions that drive significant business value for our enterprise clients.

Key Responsibilities:
Research and Development: Design, implement, and evaluate state-of-the-art AI/ML algorithms and models, identifying optimal solutions for various business problems.
System Architecture: Contribute to the architectural design and implementation of scalable and resilient machine learning systems and platforms.
Model Deployment & MLOps: Develop and maintain robust MLOps pipelines for model training, versioning, deployment, monitoring, and retraining in production environments.
Collaboration: Work closely with data scientists, product managers, and other engineering teams to translate business requirements into technical specifications and deliver impactful solutions.
Performance Optimization: Optimize the performance, efficiency, and scalability of AI/ML models and inference systems.
Code Quality & Mentorship: Conduct code reviews, ensure adherence to best practices, and provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.
Innovation & Exploration: Stay abreast of the latest advancements in AI/ML research and technologies, evaluating and recommending new tools and approaches.
Data Engineering: Collaborate on data pipelines and feature engineering to ensure high-quality data input for models.

Required Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, or a closely related quantitative field.
Experience: 5+ years of professional experience in AI/ML engineering, with a strong portfolio of successfully deployed models and systems.
Programming: Expert proficiency in Python and relevant machine learning libraries/frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn, Hugging Face).
Cloud Platforms: Hands-on experience with at least one major cloud provider (AWS, GCP, or Azure) for deploying and managing ML workloads.
MLOps: Demonstrated experience with MLOps tools and practices (e.g., MLflow, Kubeflow, Docker, Kubernetes).
Fundamentals: Strong understanding of machine learning theory, algorithms, statistical modeling, and data structures.
Software Engineering: Solid software engineering background, including experience with version control (Git), testing, and CI/CD pipelines.
Problem-Solving: Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills.
Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Preferred Qualifications:
• PhD in AI/ML or a related field.
• Experience with large-scale distributed systems and big data technologies (e.g., Spark, Hadoop).
• Familiarity with specific AI domains such as Natural Language Processing (NLP), Computer Vision, Reinforcement Learning, or Time Series Analysis.
• Contributions to open-source projects or relevant publications.
• Experience with graph neural networks or knowledge graphs.
• Prior experience in a technical leadership or mentoring role.
