About the Company: Engelhart
Engelhart, founded in 2013 by the BTG Pactual Group, operates as a commodities trading company. It employs an “asset light” and highly diversified business model, allowing for effective and nimble adaptation to changing market conditions. The company prides itself on assembling successful multidisciplinary teams that leverage advanced fundamental analysis alongside deep quantitative and weather research capabilities. All activities are underpinned by strong risk management practices and powerful technology, coupled with a focus on operational excellence. Engelhart’s teams are exceptional, featuring diverse global backgrounds and decades of experience, driven by a highly collaborative culture across various products and competencies.
In 2024, Engelhart expanded significantly by acquiring Trailstone, a global energy trading and technology company. This acquisition brought new expertise, analytics, and proprietary technology, which is now utilized to provide risk management and optimization services aimed at maximizing the value of clients’ renewable power. The acquisition also expanded Engelhart’s capabilities into the trading of physical natural gas across North America, a critical fuel supporting the ongoing energy transition.
The company culture is guided by four core values: be bold, be collaborative, be proactive, and be your best. Engelhart is dedicated to inclusivity, ensuring all employees feel welcome and included, regardless of gender identity, race, ethnicity, sexual orientation, religion, life experience, or background. They promote diversity, believing it is essential for holistic thinking and business success.
