Job Description, Detailed
This role is for Landscape Architecture students interested in joining Kimley-Horn’s Frisco, Texas (TX) office. It is an in-person position and not available for remote work.
Key Responsibilities:
• Regularly utilize various technical software programs to perform analysis, produce, and quality control deliverables for clients.
• Actively contribute to site planning, urban and landscape design, and graphic and technical production aspects of projects.
• Engage in a diverse range of projects, which may include:
• Land planning
• Urban design and redevelopment
• Mixed-use and all types of residential development
• Streetscapes
• Design guidelines
• Public infrastructure design
• Parks and other community facility design
• Address complex problems, provide support to project managers, and collaborate across various disciplines to bring clients’ visions for the future built environment to fruition.
• Develop a strong familiarity with federal, state, and local regulations, alongside Kimley-Horn’s and their clients’ specific practices, procedures, and standards.
• Learn and apply one or more software programs crucial to the role, including: Adobe Photoshop, Sketchup, InDesign, Illustrator, GIS/Arcview, PowerPoint, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and/or Excel.
Qualifications:
• Currently enrolled and pursuing a Landscape Architecture Degree (either a Bachelor’s or Master’s).
