Job Description: Superintendent Intern

Role: The Superintendent Intern role is designed for highly motivated college students passionate about the construction process and eager to gain onsite experience. This position offers a direct path to learning real-world skills and making meaningful contributions to ARCO’s projects.

Key Responsibilities (A Day in the Life):
• Work on various jobsites, gaining hands-on experience from expert field personnel.
• Projects span diverse industries including commercial, industrial, distribution, office, multi-family, and entertainment.
• Assist Superintendents and learn various skills on the job, such as:
• Creating schedules.
• Communicating effectively with subcontractors.
• Managing a project smoothly from start to finish.
• Working alongside the Superintendent on the jobsite.
• Perform critical tasks throughout every stage of the project life cycle, contributing significantly to ARCO’s success.

Necessary Qualifications:
Education: Currently enrolled in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or other related degree programs.
Academic Standing: Minimum Grade Point Average of 3.0 out of 4.0.
Experience: Co-op or Intern construction experience is preferred but not required.
Skills:
• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Strong work ethic.
Logistics:
• Possess and maintain a current, valid driver’s license in your state of residence.
Physical Demands: Ability to meet the physical requirements of the job, including but not limited to: standing or walking for long periods (occasionally on uneven terrain), bending, kneeling, crouching, climbing stairs, and/or lifting heavy loads of up to 50 pounds.

Compensation:
• Competitive hourly rate with possible overtime.
