Job Description: Temporary Technology Intern
This is an excellent opportunity for a Temporary Technology Intern to join Orrick’s Web team. The position is hybrid, requiring presence at the Global Operations & Innovation Center in Wheeling, WV.
The internship is designed to run for 20 to 24 hours a week, offering a dynamic environment for individuals who thrive on teamwork.
Key Responsibilities:
The internship is structured to provide comprehensive training, resources, challenging opportunities, and real technical projects to enhance both professional and technical skills. Key responsibilities include:
• Assisting with code and configuration changes for existing .Net applications, utilizing technologies such as C#, JavaScript, and PowerShell.
• Contributing to unit tests and automated testing efforts.
• Providing support for low code/no code applications.
• Assisting with platforms like SharePoint and WordPress.
• Engaging in clear communication and collaboration with customers and various teams across the firm.
Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, candidates should meet the following criteria:
• Proficiency with desktop operating systems, including current Microsoft Windows, and Microsoft Office applications.
• An understanding of basic scripting and programming, with familiarity in C# preferred.
• Demonstrated good writing and analytical skills.
• The ability to adapt to a changing environment and multitask priorities effectively.
• An approach to problems characterized by a sense of ownership, enthusiasm, and innovation.
• A strong willingness to learn and grow in a professional environment.
• Currently a student in an information technology or related associate or bachelor’s degree program, maintaining a GPA of 3.2 or above, and possessing a keen interest in the area of software development.
Compensation and Benefits:
• The expected salary range for this temporary position is between $13.00 an hour to $15.00 an hour.
• As a short-term, temporary team member, you will be eligible for paid sick leave where required by location.
