Job Description: Pharmacy Intern (PRN)

Job Title: Pharmacy Intern (PRN – Per Diem)

Location: East Liberty Community Health Center Pharmacy in Pittsburgh.

Job Type: This is a paid internship offering PRN (Per Diem) hours. Interns are expected to work 20 hours or more during the week in the summer, and also on holiday breaks.

Responsibilities:
The Pharmacy Intern will be a crucial part of the pharmacy team, engaging directly with customers and assisting in the daily operations. Key responsibilities include:
Greeting customers and efficiently taking prescription orders.
• Handling customer service issues with empathy and understanding.
Operating the cash register for sales transactions.
Assisting in maintaining the cleanliness of the pharmacy and keeping shelves stocked.
Answering phone calls professionally.
Inputting customer information accurately into the computer system.

Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, applicants must meet the following criteria:
Education: A minimum of HS Diploma/GED is required.
Certification/Licensure: Candidates must possess a current PTCB Certification, OR have the ability to obtain PTCB Certification within 6 months of hire, OR be a PA Licensed Pharmacy Intern. VytlOne will pay for the PTCB certification for eligible candidates.
Experience: A minimum of 2+ years of retail pharmacy experience is essential. Experience in an HIV/AIDS clinical setting is preferred.
Skills:
Computer experience is mandatory.
• A proven track record of exemplary customer service.
• The ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing, and to interact with a wide variety of individuals to successfully provide optimal patient care.

Compensation:
The compensation range for this role is $22-24/hr, depending on experience.
