Job Description: Pharmacy Intern (PRN)

Job Title: Pharmacy Intern (PRN – Per Diem)

Location: East Liberty Community Health Center Pharmacy in Pittsburgh.

Job Type: This is a paid internship offering PRN (Per Diem) hours. Interns are expected to work 20 hours or more during the week in the summer, and also on holiday breaks.

Responsibilities:
The Pharmacy Intern will be a crucial part of the pharmacy team, engaging directly with customers and assisting in the daily operations. Key responsibilities include:
• Greeting customers and efficiently taking prescription orders.
• Handling customer service issues with empathy and understanding.
• Operating the cash register for sales transactions.
• Assisting in maintaining the cleanliness of the pharmacy and keeping shelves stocked.
• Answering phone calls professionally.
• Inputting customer information accurately into the computer system.

Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, applicants must meet the following criteria:
• Education: A minimum of HS Diploma/GED is required.
• Certification/Licensure: Candidates must possess a current PTCB Certification, OR have the ability to obtain PTCB Certification within 6 months of hire, OR be a PA Licensed Pharmacy Intern. VytlOne will pay for the PTCB certification for eligible candidates.
• Experience: A minimum of 2+ years of retail pharmacy experience is essential. Experience in an HIV/AIDS clinical setting is preferred.
• Skills:
• Computer experience is mandatory.
• A proven track record of exemplary customer service.
• The ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing, and to interact with a wide variety of individuals to successfully provide optimal patient care.

Compensation:
The compensation range for this role is $22-24/hr, depending on experience.
