Job Description
This is a Journalist Intern position for A Hot Set.
Responsibilities:
• Weekly: Write in-depth industry-related articles, commentary, and/or reviews.
Details:
• Start Date: ASAP
• Duration: 6 months
• Nature: The internship is virtual and unpaid.
• Benefit: Interns will gain valuable writing experience.
• Location Preference: While not required, residents of Metro Los Angeles and New York City are strongly encouraged to apply.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will cover film, TV, creator, or business-related content for the site, ensuring it identifies with and relates to A Hot Set’s target demographic (people of color).
The candidate should possess:
• An aptitude/interest in writing about the business side of the entertainment industry.
• An aptitude/interest in reviewing film or TV series from various genres.
• Critical and intellectual thinking skills to produce socially relevant, fact-based commentary.
