### About the Job: TikTok LIVE Traffic Delivery & User Experience Internship (Summer 2026)
This internship offers students a comprehensive opportunity for industry exposure and hands-on experience within a fast-growing tech environment. The program is designed to help students develop fundamental skills, explore potential career paths, and utilize their knowledge in real-world scenarios. It runs for 12 weeks during the Summer of 2026 and includes a vibrant blend of social events and enriching development workshops.
Team Introduction:
The internship is specifically with the TikTok LIVE team, which is a rapidly expanding platform focused on enabling real-time interactive content experiences, connecting creators and audiences globally. The team’s overarching mission is to create a safe, engaging, and high-quality livestreaming ecosystem that actively fosters creativity and community building.
The intern will be part of the Traffic Delivery and User Experience team within TikTok LIVE. This team is responsible for:
• Continuously optimizing the Recommend system to show users personalized and preferred content.
• Helping TikTok LIVE obtain traffic within the broader TikTok platform and achieve user growth.
• Understanding and defining content quality and user experience.
• Ensuring the stable development of both the content ecosystem and the user ecosystem amidst business growth.
Responsibilities:
As an intern, you will be expected to:
• Support user research and analysis focused on U.S. TikTok LIVE traffic patterns, audience segments, and content consumption trends. The goal is to identify high-impact growth opportunities by pinpointing underserved user groups and market gaps.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate strategic insights into actionable experiments. This involves tracking performance metrics and refining solutions based on data insights and case studies to achieve measurable user growth.
• Partner with various cross-functional teams, including Algo and Strategy Ops, to diligently track project milestones, ensure alignment across different workstreams, and keep all deliverables on schedule.
Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Economics, Data Science, Computer Science, or a closely related field.
• Ability to commit to working for the full 12 weeks during Summer 2026.
• A strong passion for content products and an active user of social/live-streaming platforms.
• Possession of strong analytical skills, with the capability to interpret complex datasets and translate them into clear, actionable recommendations.
• A data-driven mindset, coupled with a basic knowledge of statistics and quantitative analysis.
• A self-starter attitude, strong organizational skills, and meticulous attention to detail.
• The ability to work effectively and collaboratively in a fast-paced, cross-cultural environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Knowledge of traffic strategies, creator ecosystems, or content quality evaluation is considered a plus.
• Experience with SQL or Python programming languages is also a plus.
Internship Logistics & Benefits:
• Candidates can apply to a maximum of two positions globally across TikTok and its affiliates. Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis, and early application is encouraged. Applicants must clearly state their availability (Start date, End date) in their resume.
• Summer 2026 Start Dates include: May 11th, May 18th, May 26th, June 8th, and June 22nd.
• The hourly compensation rate for this position is $70.
• Interns receive day one access to health insurance, life insurance, and wellbeing benefits. They also receive 10 paid holidays per year and paid sick time (56 hours if hired in the first half of the year, 40 hours if hired in the second half of the year).
• Interns who are not working 100% remotely may also be eligible for a housing allowance.
