Job Title: Simulator Support Co-op

Overview:
Working in a team environment, Simulator Support co-ops are responsible for designing and performing hardware and software modifications to Delta’s fleet of flight training devices/simulators. The primary goal is to ensure these training devices meet FAA requirements and cater to pilot training needs. This position is designed to provide educational and professional work experience to prepare students for the workforce.

Key Responsibilities:
• Reports to Delta’s manager of simulator engineering.
Integrates software modifications into flight training devices/simulators to maintain commonality with Delta’s fleet of aircraft.
Designs hardware modifications of the training devices according to simulator and aircraft manufacturers’ service bulletins.
• Assists with acceptance testing of new flight training devices/simulators.
• Assists with the annual FAA requalification of the training devices.
• Practices safety-conscious behaviors in all operational processes and procedures.

Minimum Qualifications:
Co-op Program Structure:
• This co-op position does not guarantee a full-time opportunity upon graduation.
• Requires working for 3 alternating semesters.
Cannot actively take any courses (online or in-person) while working as a Co-op, which may delay graduation by 1-2 semesters.
• Must be able to complete 3 alternating rotations in Atlanta, GA following the schedule:
Summer 2026 – 1st rotation
Spring 2027 – 2nd rotation
Fall 2027 – 3rd rotation
Education: Working towards a bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science or related discipline.
Technical Skills:
• Experience with software editing, code debugging, and revision control using various computer platforms and operating systems.
Strong technical, analytical, mathematical, and organizational skills.
• Capable of handling multiple projects simultaneously.
• Must perform with a high level of accuracy.
Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written skills.

Basic Requirements:
• Possesses a high school diploma, GED, or high school equivalency.
• Is at least 18 years of age.
