Job Description
About Company
Astranis is a leading space technology company with significant achievements to date. They have successfully launched five satellites into orbit and secured ten commercial deals valued at over $1 billion in revenue. The company has raised substantial capital, over $750 million, from top global investors, enabling them to build a robust team of over 400 world-class engineers. The entire team operates out of their San Francisco office, which boasts a historical past, having been used for ship construction during the World Wars.
Their satellites are characterized by their compact size (weighing only 400 kg) and operate from geostationary orbit (GEO). A key technological differentiator is their use of a proprietary software-defined radio payload. Each satellite is designed to provide connectivity to a vast number of users, capable of connecting over two million people. Astranis is particularly excited about the potential impact their services will have in regions like the Philippines, Peru, and Mexico. The company fosters a rewarding work environment, supported by substantial funding and a passionate, collaborative team, where individuals at any career stage can learn and make a significant impact.
