Job Description: Construction Intern
PROCON is seeking a Construction Intern, an exciting opportunity for Construction Management or Engineering students looking to gain practical, hands-on experience within the construction industry. This role involves supporting experienced Superintendents on active commercial construction projects across New Hampshire and Massachusetts. Interns will gain valuable on-site experience, assisting with various day-to-day tasks tailored to project needs and individual skills.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assisting Superintendents with daily project management tasks.
• Supporting field operations, which includes reviewing building plans, inspecting construction progress, and coordinating with subcontractors.
• Helping with project documentation and administrative tasks to ensure smooth project execution.
• Gaining valuable experience in understanding different construction phases and safety protocols.
Qualifications:
• Currently enrolled in a Construction Management or Engineering program.
• A basic understanding of construction processes, building plans, and project management or field operations.
• Demonstrated interest in the construction industry.
• Possession of strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as a collaborative team member.
