Job Description
Here’s a detailed description of the company and the job:
About Company
Beyond New Horizons (BNH) is a fully populated joint venture formed by Astrion and Fluor Federal Services, Inc. Its primary mission is to deliver unparalleled Test Operations and Sustainment services for the Arnold Engineering Development Complex (AEDC) located at Arnold Air Force Base, Tennessee. The company’s name, “Beyond New Horizons,” reflects its commitment to building upon AEDC’s long-standing legacy in aerospace research and development, inspired by the “Toward New Horizons” founding study. BNH aims to significantly expand AEDC’s current capabilities and capacity.
BNH is specifically responsible for the design, operation, and maintenance of the extensive infrastructure required to conduct ground testing of flight, defense, and aerospace systems at AEDC. This critical infrastructure encompasses a wide array of specialized equipment, including:
• Electric motors
• Compressors
• Hydraulic systems
• Refrigeration systems
• Heaters
• Dryers
• Power systems
• Measurement and data acquisition systems
• Control systems
And more.
It’s important to note that BNH does not design or conduct analysis of the vehicles themselves. Instead, its role is to design, operate, and maintain the complex systems that enable the ground testing of models and subassemblies. This support provides essential data to customers for making informed decisions regarding design and flight-worthiness.
Leveraging the strengths of its parent companies, BNH specializes in testing and evaluation for military and space systems. It also possesses proven expertise in managing large-scale Government programs, integration, engineering, and providing construction services for highly specialized and technically advanced, high-hazard facilities.
