Overview of the Program:
The Bettendorf’s Controls Engineering Internship Program offers hands-on experience in controls engineering. Interns will collaborate with experienced engineers to design, debug, and troubleshoot software. This program is ideal for individuals eager to apply their knowledge in a fast-paced, real-world environment where innovation and collaboration are key drivers of success.
Potential Projects for Interns:
• Design PLC software and HMIs (Human-Machine Interfaces) for industrial automation equipment.
• Debug and troubleshoot PLC software.
• Maintain task lists and reports of open items related to projects.
• Maintain project design documentation and prepare customer deliverables.
• Ensure the controls engineering process is tracked and followed according to established standards.
Basic Qualifications:
• Currently pursuing or having achieved a bachelor’s degree in engineering.
• Eligible to work in the U.S. on a full-time, permanent basis without sponsorship.
Preferred Qualifications:
• An engineering degree in electrical engineering or a related field.
• Minimum overall GPA of 3.0.
• Desire to work in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• Familiarity with OSHA, SDS, and ANSI (RIA) safety standards.
