Job Description: Operations Manufacturing Intern (Summer 2026)

This role is for an Operations Manufacturing Intern as part of The Marzetti Company’s Summer Internship Program, specifically for the summer of 2026. The program is designed for ambitious students still pursuing their degree who are eager to gain hands-on experience and expand their career possibilities upon graduation.

The internship is a 12-week program focused on providing unique experiences tailored to the intern’s field of interest, while also offering valuable insights into other key business areas. Interns are expected to join the Operations Team and will take ownership of meaningful business projects, develop relationships with peers and team members, and contribute innovative ideas to support company growth. Beyond the project work, Marzetti commits to nourishing the personal and professional growth of its interns through social activities, volunteer opportunities, and development sessions with company leadership.

Key Responsibilities of the Operations Manufacturing Intern include:
• Supporting multiple process improvement projects across various phases of execution.
• Collecting and analyzing production data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
• Actively participating in continuous improvement initiatives such as 5S, Kaizen, and Lean methodologies.
• Supporting quality assurance activities, which may involve inspections and audits.
• Managing and effectively communicating project goals and progress to relevant stakeholders.
• Partnering cross-functionally with other departments to identify opportunities for enhanced production.
• Providing support for work plans, quality control measures, and material costs within established guidelines.

Qualifications for this role are:
• Currently pursuing a degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Technology, Engineering Leadership, or a closely related field.
• Possession of strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Demonstrated excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) is required, with familiarity with CAD or ERP systems being a significant advantage.
• The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
