Job Description, Detailed

This position is for a Corporate & Institutional Banking Undergraduate Intern – Real Estate Banking.

As a PNC Intern, you will participate in a “best-in-class” 10-week internship program designed to provide exposure to a specific line of business, help you expand the tools needed to launch your career, and complement your education with real-world job experience. The intern will be based within the PNC footprint.

Real Estate Banking, a department within PNC Real Estate, offers interns the opportunity to explore various aspects of the field. This includes understanding acquisition, construction, and permanent financing for all property types for developers and investors. Additionally, interns will gain insight into traditional banking services such as cash management, interest rate risk management, capital markets solutions, foreign exchange, personal wealth management, and institutional investments.

Interns will work directly with the Relationship Team and senior management, providing support for daily operations. This support encompasses functions related to:
Underwriting: Portfolio administration, periodic reviews, loan offerings, loan documentation and fulfillment, and prescreening.
Sales: Pre-call planning, client research, pitchbooks, relationship reviews, and follow-up activities.

Upon completion of the program, interns are expected to recognize the importance of each of these functions on the deal-making process.

The Summer Internship Program serves as a direct pipeline for talent to the Real Estate Banking track of the Corporate & Institutional Banking (C&IB) Development Program. This provides interns with an unparalleled opportunity to learn the business while gaining visibility among the firm’s senior leadership. Successful completion of the Summer Internship may lead to an offer to join the C&IB Development Program after graduation. Job Profile Summary:
The intern will perform or assist in the core activities of the group, applying learned knowledge to drive business results, such as deal support, sales support, process support, internal or external customer interaction, or supporting internal projects. Work will be conducted under supervision, and the intern may have limited approval and/or exception authority. Participation in social learning within the organization is encouraged, including networking with business representatives and peers, mentoring, job shadowing, and community outreach.

Required Education And Experience:
• Currently working toward a bachelor’s degree.
Preferred business-relevant majors include Finance, Accounting, IT, Economics, Marketing, Math, Statistics, HR, Management, Communications, Business Law, Psychology, Logistics, Engineering, Computer Science, and Actuarial Sciences.
• Must be of junior status (targeting Spring 2027 graduation date).
• A minimum GPA of 3.0 is required.

Work Experience: This role is designed for recent university/college graduates with little or no professional experience but possessing relevant skills. Individuals joining through a Corporate development/training program are also considered. In lieu of a degree, a comparable combination of education, job-specific certification(s), and experience (including military service) may be considered.

Pay Transparency: The base salary for this position ranges from $18.00 – $35.00. Salaries may vary based on geographic location, market data, individual skills, experience, and education.
