About the Job: Investigative / Forensic Engineering Summer Internship
This is a summer internship opportunity with American Structurepoint’s Investigative / Forensic Engineering Group, located in Cleveland, OH. It offers a chance to explore the field of structural forensics and contribute to restoring and preserving the built environment.

Responsibilities (What you will do):
• Investigation: Work alongside senior team members to act as a detective for architecture and engineering, investigating damaged or deteriorating buildings and structures.
• Repair & Restoration: Help develop repair and restoration plans for structures made of various materials, including wood, masonry, concrete, and steel.
• Reporting: Contribute to technical reports that document findings and solutions, enhancing writing and analysis skills.
• Design Tools: Use tools such as AutoCAD and/or Revit to create digital drawings and models for investigations and repairs.
• Team Support: Assist the team with other tasks as needed.
Qualifications:
• Education: Must be a student majoring in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related program with a focus on Civil Engineering.
• Transportation: Possess a reliable personal vehicle and a valid driver’s license for travel between job sites.
• Software Skills: Experience with AutoCAD and/or Revit is a plus.
• Work Ethic: Demonstrate a strong work ethic, good communication skills, and an eagerness to learn and take on new challenges.
• Physical Requirements: Ability and willingness to climb ladders and scaffolding, work from heights, walk roofs, and access crawl spaces and other areas of limited accessibility.
