Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity for a summer intern within the Dominion Energy South Carolina Transmission Operations Center. The position is located in Cayce, South Carolina.

Job Summary:
The selected student(s) will gain utility knowledge specifically in the electric transmission area.

Duties/Responsibilities:
Maintain/update the DESC transmission system model database.
Prepare documentation for generator interconnection reports.
Update transmission system maps and cases as necessary.
Assist other engineers in the group to perform various power flow studies.

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience:
• Must have strong computer knowledge and skills.
• Demonstrated ability to learn power system modeling and Microsoft Office products.
• Must have good verbal and written communication skills.
• Able to work independently and as a team.

Education Requirements:
• Must be currently in the process of obtaining a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering.
• The degree must be from an ABET accredited college or university.
• Must have a minimum GPA of 2.5 or higher.
• Must have a graduation date of Fall 2026 or later.
