About the Job: Project Development Intern (2025/2026 School Year)

Linea Energy is seeking a highly motivated undergraduate Project Development Intern for the 2025/2026 school year. This is a part-time position, requiring 10-20 hours a week, with a preference for one day in-person at the Linea Energy Headquarters in San Francisco, CA.

Target Candidate:
The ideal candidate is currently enrolled as a junior or senior in the San Francisco area, planning to graduate in late 2026 or 2027.

Job Overview and Opportunities:
The intern will work closely with Linea Energy’s Western-markets team based in San Francisco. This role offers the opportunity to work across various teams, including Engineering/Procurement/Construction, Operations, and Project Development. The intern will assist with a diverse range of tasks and contribute to significant projects, such as:
• Participating in Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) processes for multiple utility-scale projects and portfolios.
• Contributing to the continued development of Linea’s growing 7 GW+ greenfield pipeline of solar, wind, and battery storage projects across the U.S.

Key Responsibilities:
• Assist with cross-functional tasks related to real estate acquisition, project development, environmental review, and permitting.
• Contribute to project management, economic analysis, and data analysis.
• Utilize Excel and PowerPoint for data analysis and presentation.
• Learn and apply new software programs as needed, including testing of new AI-based tools.

Qualifications:
Currently enrolled as a junior or senior in the San Francisco area, with plans to graduate at the end of the current or next academic year.
• Demonstrated interest in the renewable energy industry and an intent to pursue a career in renewables post-graduation.
• At least one prior internship experience.
Proficiency in Excel and general proficiency in learning new programs (GIS knowledge is a plus, but not necessary).
Ability to work in-person in the San Francisco office for the duration of the internship.

Compensation and Benefits:
This is a paid internship. Interns will gain a deep understanding of the renewable energy industry and have the chance to work with a team possessing extensive combined experience in the energy sector. Start and end dates for the internship are flexible.
