Job Description

This is an internship program at Max Borges Agency, designed to provide interns with hands-on, real-world public relations experience. The program focuses on working with global and national consumer goods and consumer tech brands. Interns are expected to assist with various projects and also lead some projects independently. They report directly to an agency mentor, who is a senior-level PR professional with extensive experience.

Key aspects of the internship include:

Hands-on Experience: Interns gain practical PR experience with consumer goods and tech brands.
Project Involvement: They assist with various agency projects.
Project Leadership: Interns are tasked with leading their own projects, such as building media and influencer lists, drafting/distributing pitches, and directly communicating with media/influencers.
Agency Participation: Interns attend agency meetings and brainstorm sessions.
Mentorship: Direct reporting to a senior-level PR professional mentor.

Responsibilities:

Research: Conduct research for relevant media and influencer contacts and build comprehensive lists.
Client Support: Assist on several client accounts across the agency.
Content Creation: Draft press releases and media pitches.
Media Relations: Pitch media/influencers and cultivate relationships with them.
Analytical Research: Conduct and compile research for competitive analysis, campaign proposals, and new business proposals.
Collaboration: Participate actively in agency meetings and brainstorms.

Requirements:

PR Knowledge: Possess a basic understanding of public relations; prior experience or internships are a plus.
Interest: Demonstrate a strong interest in public relations, communications, technology, consumer electronics, or consumer goods (this is a must-have).
Communication Skills: Exhibit excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Multitasking: Must be capable of handling multiple tasks efficiently.
Teamwork: Possess the ability to work effectively in group settings.
Client Acumen: Have a basic understanding of client information, including product details, key customers, and competitors in the marketplace.
Availability:
• Commitment of 24 hours per week (ideally structured as three 8-hour days, typically Monday, Wednesday, and Friday).
• Availability for the period from September 5, 2025, to December 5, 2025.
