Job Title: Electrical Engineering Co-op

Job Summary:
The Electrical Engineering Co-op position at Billerud, a leading sustainable packaging materials and paper company, is designed to provide comprehensive engineering support for mill operations. The co-op will also actively assist in various projects, thereby gaining invaluable experience within the Pulp, Paper, and Packaging Industry.

Responsibilities:
• Provide direct electrical engineering support for day-to-day mill operations.
• Actively participate in and support the start-up phases of assigned projects.
• Offer crucial engineering support for maintenance Electrical/Instrumentation (E/I) technicians.
• Ensure the consistent maintenance of accurate electrical documentation.
• Analyze problems thoroughly and provide dedicated electrical engineering support for trouble resolutions, following established Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA) processes.
• Provide essential engineering support for key departments within the organization.
• Utilize strong problem-solving and analytical skills to successfully achieve department initiatives and goals.

Qualifications:
Required Education: Must be pursuing an Engineering curriculum with a demonstrated interest in the Pulp, Paper, and Packaging Industry.
Academic Standing: A minimum GPA of 2.75 is required.
Academic Progress: Must have successfully completed at least three semesters of college education prior to the Co-op start date.
Availability: Must be available to work one of two specified Co-op rotations:
January through August
May through December
Skills: Must possess strong communication and teamwork skills, coupled with a genuine desire to learn in a work environment that is modeled after a full-time engineering experience.
Work Authorization: Must be legally authorized to work permanently in the United States for reasons other than practical training (Student work VISAs do not qualify).
