Job Description (Registered Nurse, Medical Surgical)

• Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN), Medical Surgical
• Job Type: PRN | Days
• Position Summary: This role involves providing direct patient care using the nursing process, in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice and the organization’s policies. It is a Nursing Service position. RN new graduates are eligible but must have a temporary license in Utah and be in their last semester of a nursing program. The successful candidate must possess the ability to understand, communicate, and effectively react to the unique needs of neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients.
• Minimum Qualifications:
• Education: Associate’s degree preferred.
• License: Must have a current valid Utah nursing license, compact state license, or Utah apprentice RN License.
• Certifications (within specified timeframes):
• Basic Life Support (BLS) within 60 days of hire.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) within 6 months of hire.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) within 6 months of hire.
