Job Description

Job Title: Tax Winter Intern

Location: Boca Raton office

Duration: January to April 2026 (Winter 2026)

Your Team:
Engagement Team: You will collaborate closely with a team comprising other Interns, Associates, Senior Associates, Managers, Senior Managers, and Partners.
Industries Served: The firm serves a diverse range of clients across various industries including Consumer & Industrial, Financial Sponsors & Financial Services, Life Sciences & Healthcare, Public Sector, Real Estate, Renewable Energy, Technology & Media, and Private Client Services (industry focus may vary by office).
Office Environment: The CohnReznick office provides amenities, collaborative spaces, and private offices.
Performance Coach: A dedicated coach will help establish goals, provide feedback, and support your career path. Many current Senior Managers and Partners began their careers as CR Associates.
CR Friend: A designated individual will serve as a familiar face and a point of contact when you join the firm.

Your Role:
As a Tax Winter Intern, you will be responsible for becoming familiar with accounting and auditing procedures and performing these procedures in accordance with firm standards in an accurate, thorough, and timely manner.

Responsibilities Include But Not Limited To:
• Work on all aspects of an audit engagement, including cash, bank reconciliations, accounts payable, searching for unrecorded liabilities, maintaining confirmation logs, and preparing audit work papers.
• Assist with audits, reviews, compilations, and various accounting services.
• Participate in resolving audit issues by obtaining necessary evidence and making inquiries of clients, while also assisting the team with daily client workflow.

Your Experience (Required Qualifications):

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting.
• Plan to complete 150 credit hours between December 2026 and September 2027 to qualify for CPA licensure.
• Minimum 3.0 GPA in both your major and overall academic performance.
• Successful completion of at least two accounting courses prior to the start of the internship.
• Demonstrated leadership positions in student organizations, extracurricular activities, and/or on team projects.
• Exhibit excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Able to learn quickly in a fast-paced environment.
• Possess strong computer literacy and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Must provide proof of work authorization, such as U.S. Citizenship or permanent residency status.

Preferred Experience:
• Prior work or internship experience is a plus.
