Job Description:
The ESPN YouTube Team oversees the daily creation and curation of video content for ESPN-branded social channels. The team produces videos, writes headlines, and meticulously evaluates stories and videos for accuracy, fairness, and social/viral potential.
As an intern, you will be instrumental in enhancing the distribution model for ESPN content across all channels. You will contribute to the team by:
• Participating with internal and external teams in the creation and distribution of content that attracts new audiences.
• Utilizing your expertise in navigating digital social platforms to expand reach, engagement, and distribution of content.
• Analyzing usage and performance metrics to identify opportunities for content enhancements and improvements.
• Staying current on the latest trends and best practices for video distribution on YouTube channels and ESPN platforms.
• Producing, creating, and editing videos including headline writing, tagging, managing overall style and voice, and collaborating with subject matter experts for specific content types.
You will be responsible for:
• Tracking performance metrics and video analytics on ESPN platforms.
• Optimizing content for mobile/social environments with a strong understanding of Search Engine Optimization (SEO).
• Collaborating with various ESPN units to identify and develop up-to-the-minute video content optimized for multiple platforms and user needs.
