About the Company:
The Chicago Transit Authority (CTA) is the second largest transit system in the United States. Job Description:
This is a year-long (2025-2026) Human Resources internship within the Talent Acquisition unit at CTA headquarters (567 W. Lake Street, Chicago, Illinois 60661). The internship is project-based, and the role involves a part-time schedule (15 hours/week) during the academic year and full-time (40 hours/week) during the summer.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assisting with the onboarding of new employees.
• Reviewing paperwork and identification documents.
• Completing and creating new employee records.
• Reviewing resumes and providing recommendations for potential employees.
Qualifications:
• Preferred Majors: Human Resources, Business Administration, or Industrial/Organizational Psychology.
• Preferred Education Level: College junior and above.
• Required Enrollment Status: Full-time enrollment in an accredited college or university.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to comply with office policy to work on-site twice per week. Light physical activity (walking, stairs).
• Skills & Abilities: Strong Microsoft Office skills, excellent verbal and written communication skills, good analytical and critical thinking skills, proficient organizational skills with attention to detail, and good project management skills.
