About the Program: Year Up United

hackajob, in collaboration with Archer, is proud to connect exceptional tech professionals with opportunities, including the transformative Year Up United program. Year Up United is an intensive job training program, lasting one year or less, designed to equip young adults with vital skills and career opportunities.

The program offers a comprehensive approach, combining in-classroom skill development with practical experience through internships and/or direct job placement services. Participants benefit from personalized coaching and mentorship throughout their journey and receive an educational stipend.

Year Up United integrates robust technical and professional training with unparalleled access to internships and job placement support. This support is facilitated through YUPRO Placement, an industry-leading talent placement firm. Internships may be secured at prestigious organizations in the National Capital Region, including but not limited to Fannie Mae, Merck, Okta, and Salesforce.

Eligibility Requirements

To apply for the Year Up United program, you must meet the following criteria:

• Education: Be a high school graduate or GED recipient.
• Work Eligibility: Be eligible to work in the U.S.
• Availability: Be available Monday-Friday throughout the entire duration of the program.
• Motivation: Demonstrate high motivation to learn technical and professional skills.
• Prior Education: Have not obtained a Bachelor’s degree.

• Placement Success: 75% of Year Up United graduates are employed and/or enrolled in postsecondary education within 4 months of graduation.
• Earning Potential: Employed graduates earn an average starting salary of fifty-three thousand dollars ($53,000) per year.
