About Year Up United:

Year Up United is an intensive job training program designed for young adults. The program lasts one year or less and combines in-classroom skill development with practical experience. Participants receive technical and professional training, access to internships at leading organizations (examples include Amazon, Dell Technologies, Merck, and The University of Texas System), job placement support through YUPRO Placement (their in-house talent placement firm), personalized coaching and mentorship, and a weekly educational stipend of $525 during the internship phase. The program aims to help participants launch their professional careers.

Year Up United is not a single job, but a comprehensive training program. The program offers participants:

In-depth classroom training: Covering areas such as IT Support, Application Development, and Project Management.
Internship opportunities: Participants have the chance to secure internships with major companies.
Job placement support: Year Up United assists graduates in finding employment through YUPRO Placement.
Professional skills development: Training includes business and communication skills, interviewing techniques, networking skills, and resume building.
Ongoing support and guidance: Participants receive continued support and mentorship to aid their career launch.
Educational stipend: A weekly stipend of $525 is provided during the internship portion of the program.

Eligibility Requirements:

To be eligible for the Year Up United program, applicants must:

• Be a high school graduate or GED recipient.
• Be eligible to work in the U.S.
• Be available Monday-Friday for the duration of the program.
• Be highly motivated to learn technical and professional skills.
• Not have obtained a Bachelor’s degree.

Program Outcomes:

The program boasts a strong success rate, with 75% of graduates employed and/or enrolled in postsecondary education within 4 months of graduation. Employed graduates earn an average starting salary of fifty-three thousand dollars per year.
