About Year Up United:
Year Up United is an intensive job training program lasting one year or less. It’s designed for young adults seeking to launch their professional careers. The program combines in-classroom skill development with internships and job placement services, plus personalized coaching and mentorship. Participants also receive a weekly educational stipend.
Job Description (Year Up United Internship at BNY Mellon, Pittsburgh):
This program offers training in both technical and professional skills. The training curriculum includes in-depth classes in Application Development & Support and Investment Operations. Following the training phase, participants complete an internship at BNY Mellon in Pittsburgh. This internship provides practical experience and allows participants to apply their newly acquired skills in a real-world professional setting. During the internship, participants receive a weekly stipend of $525.
Post-Program Outcomes:
Year Up United boasts a strong track record of success. 75% of graduates are employed or enrolled in postsecondary education within four months of completing the program. Those employed graduates earn an average starting salary of fifty-three thousand dollars per year. The program also provides ongoing support and guidance to help participants launch and advance their careers.
