They aim to help the Church remember who He is and what He has done, and respond in worship, with a commitment to writing songs that bring God’s Word to life and inspiring listeners to grow in their relationship with Him.

Job Description:

Job Title: Worship Intern
Department: Worship
Reports To: Staff Worship Leader
Days/Hours: Wednesday-Sunday (25-30 hours)
Location: Weekdays: Fort Lauderdale Campus, Weekends: various campuses

The Worship Intern will assist in preparing for and supporting Worship for Weekend Services. The internship is structured to provide experience in different worship contexts, starting with leading worship services in various venues for approximately the first 6 weeks. The latter half of the internship focuses on one specific location to build relationships with local staff, volunteers, and the church body.

Key Responsibilities and Opportunities for Development:

Resourcing Teams: Learn and utilize Planning Center Online, create vocal notes, charting, and work with Ableton Live.
Culture: Participate in weekly Worship Department meetings, staff huddles, and other staff activities to understand the overall culture of Calvary Chapel FTL.
Bi-monthly Meetings: Attend meetings that include Worship Staff and other Creative Team members.
Final Project: Develop and execute a personalized goal based on individual gifts, passions, and perceived needs of the church, in consultation with the Supervisor.

Learning Goals:

• Develop a greater understanding and love for leading worship in the Local Church.
• Growth in the area of intentional planning of services and the communication of details and expectations to both staff and volunteers.
• Increase confidence in effectively leading rehearsals.
• Improve the ability to adequately resource volunteers with charts, mp3s, instrument-specific instruction, etc., for success on the weekend.

• Excited about global missions and local outreach – you want to change the world.
• Willing to live a life above reproach and aligned with scripture.
• Effective in written, listening, and oral communication skills.

Work Schedule:

• Wednesday: 9 AM – 3 PM (Global Resourcing and Growth)
• Thursday: 9 AM – 3 PM (Campus Specific)
• Friday: 9 AM – 2 PM (Intern Cohort)
• Saturday: 2 PM – 8 PM (Rehearsal and Services)
• Sunday: 7:30 AM – 2:00 PM (Services)

Note: Hours and days may vary depending on campus-wide events. The role may require bending, sitting, or standing for extended periods and lifting up to 35 lbs.
