Legal Assistant/Case Manager | Adams & Martin Group

What You’ll Actually Do
• Case Lifecycle Management: Manage the full lifecycle of workers’ compensation cases, from the initial intake process through to final resolution.
• Legal Document Preparation: Draft essential legal documents including pleadings, comprehensive legal correspondence, settlement agreements, and discovery requests.
• Procedural Compliance: Track and manage critical deadlines, ensuring strict adherence and compliance with all Workers’ Compensation Appeals Board (WCAB) procedures.
• Stakeholder Coordination: Coordinate effectively with a diverse group of stakeholders, including clients, attorneys, medical providers, and insurance representatives.
• Case File & Advancement: Maintain meticulously organized case files and proactively implement actions to move cases forward and ensure timely progression.

The Must-Haves
• Background: This position is suitable for legal professionals with a strong understanding of California Workers’ Compensation law, particularly those committed to advocating effectively for the rights of injured workers.
• Experience: Candidates are expected to bring at least 2 years of relevant experience specifically within the California Workers’ Compensation field, with a distinct preference for prior experience working on the applicant side of cases.
• Skills: Essential skills include strong legal writing, clear and effective communication, the capability to independently manage a high-volume caseload, exceptional organizational abilities, meticulous attention to detail, and a high degree of self-motivation. Bilingual Spanish fluency is also a mandatory requirement for this role.
