Job Description: Winter Internship
Highgate Hotels is offering dynamic winter internships across various departments within its hotels. Interns will gain valuable experience and learn about the hospitality industry while working in a fun and fast-paced environment.
Overview:
This internship provides an opportunity to work in multiple departments, which may include Human Resources (HR), Operations, Revenue, Marketing, and Food & Beverage (F&B). Specific hotel placement will be discussed with candidates upon the submission of an internship offer.
Responsibilities:
Interns will gain exposure to the overall operations of Housekeeping, Laundry, and Guest Services departments. Key responsibilities include:
• Assisting in the operations area by providing all guests with attentive, friendly, efficient, and courteous service.
• Demonstrating effectiveness in handling problems, including anticipating, preventing, identifying, and solving issues as necessary.
• Learning from experienced professionals in the Housekeeping field.
Qualifications:
Highgate is seeking individuals who meet the following criteria:
• Education: Currently studying for a Bachelor’s degree, Graduate degree, or equivalent in Hotel Management or a related field.
• Work Ethic & Attention to Detail: Possess a high level of attention to detail and a strong work ethic.
• Communication Skills: Strong communication skills are required.
• Adaptability: Ability to multi-task effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Problem-Solving: Demonstrated aptitude for problem-solving and problem identification.
• Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint is required.
Compensation:
The compensation for this internship is $20.00/Hourly.
