Internship Title: Web Graphic Designer
Location: Remote
Currently pursuings:
• Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Web Design, Fine Arts, or a related field is preferred. However, candidates with a strong portfolio and relevant experience will be considered.
• Software Proficiency:
• Graphic Design: Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
• Web Design: Adobe XD, Sketch, or Figma
• Design Skills:
• Understanding of typography, color theory, and layout principles
• Ability to create visually appealing designs for web and digital platforms
• Familiarity with responsive design principles
• Basic understanding of HTML and CSS
• Strong artistic abilities and a keen eye for aesthetics
• Creative Thinking:
• Ability to conceptualize and develop creative ideas for website layouts, graphics, and visual elements
• Experience in creating custom illustrations, icons, and other graphic assets
• User Experience (UX) & User Interface (UI):
• Understanding of UX and UI design principles
• Industry Awareness:
• Awareness of current design trends and best practices in web and digital media
• Portfolio:
• A strong portfolio showcasing a variety of web design projects, including website layouts, graphics, and visual assets
• Demonstrated ability to translate concepts into visually appealing designs aligned with project objectives and target audience preferences
• Experience:
• Entry-level: Internship or freelance experience in graphic or web design
• Mid-level and Senior: Several years of professional experience in web graphic design roles, with a portfolio demonstrating proficiency and creativity
• Additional Skills (Beneficial):
• Familiarity with content management systems (CMS) such as WordPress, Drupal, or Joomla
• Knowledge of web accessibility standards and guidelines (WCAG)
• Understanding of SEO principles and the impact of design elements on search engine rankings
