Job Description: Web Design, Photography, and Videography Intern / Co-op

This role is for a Web Design, Photography, and Videography Intern, which can also be a Co-op position. It is an unpaid internship, requiring college credit.

Role Summary:
The Web Design, Photography, and Videography Intern will play an integral role in managing and expanding JBIER Boutique’s web presence. This involves continually evolving design choices for efficiency and aesthetics, editing photographs to accurately represent merchandise and the company across e-commerce and social media platforms, and creating video content to showcase products, collections, blogs, email marketing newsletters, and other website pages.

Job Type and Duration:
Internship (Unpaid): Minimum 18 hours per week for 5 months.
• Accepting applications for: July 2025 – December 2025, August 2025 – January 2026.
Co-op: 32-40 hours per week for 6 months.
• Accepting applications for: Summer 2025, Fall 2025.

Location and Communication:
Location: Remote (Zoom), based in New York, NY – Hybrid optional.
Communication: Bi-weekly virtual team meetings and daily breakout rooms are held via Zoom.
Working Hours: Self-schedule between 9 AM – 9 PM EST (Monday through Friday) and 10 AM – 6 PM (Saturday-Sunday).

Responsibilities:

Website Management:
• Manage the company website with branded, consistent content, ensuring efficient functionality and consistent layout on mobile and desktop.
• Stay updated on website changes and improvements.
• Refresh the website homepage to showcase new trends, sales, lookbooks, and collections.
• Monitor and update the shipping bar banner for sales and announcements.
• Regularly revise and enhance the company’s ‘About Us’ page.
• Incorporate alumni testimonials on the career page and ensure job listings are refreshed weekly.
• Create eloquent informational sections reflecting brand values and organizational goals.
• Curate new pages and collections based on trends, seasons, and holidays.
• Monitor and update legal sections (Terms of Service, Privacy Policy, FAQs).
Content Creation & Curation:
• Brainstorm, prototype, and curate gift guides, style guides, lookbooks, and career development pages.
• Edit product photographs, lifestyle photographs, and videos using platforms like Canva, Adobe Suite, iMovie, or similar tools to maintain brand identity.
• Craft animations, video clips, and scrolling videos for social platforms, collections, blogs, and email marketing newsletters, prioritizing stability and clarity.
Collaboration & Project Support:
• Collaborate with Business Development, Project Management, and Human Resources teams for high-level projects (e.g., Career Acceleration Program (CAP) Workshops, fundraising initiatives).
• Showcase projects and operations through photo/video content and website pages.
• Assist the Social Media Marketing team with new platform implementation.
• Collaborate with the JBIER team and alumni to produce captivating and educational videos (e.g., behind-the-scenes, highlighting offerings).
• Assist with creating, coordinating, planning, and executing in-person and virtual events (fundraisers, fashion shows, photoshoots, pop-up shops, workshops), including research, vision creation, content readiness, and overall event success.
Analytics & Optimization:
• Research and analyze insights, opportunities, and risks on the company website to understand audience analytics and identify product/page performance.
• Leverage data by compiling and presenting insights to the team to identify priorities and assist with targeted sales and marketing strategies.
• Research and implement SEO best practices for website optimization.
• Create and distribute user experience surveys to determine performance, accessibility, and design, leveraging feedback for action plans.
Data Management:
• Assist with maintaining and updating the company’s data asset management platforms, ensuring content is sorted and readily available.

Requirements:

Experience Preferred: Website Design and Development, Analytics, Research, Marketing, Photography, and Videography experience are highly preferred.
Platform Proficiency: Experience working across e-commerce platforms (e.g., Poshmark, Wix). Proficiency in Canva and iMovie is highly preferred.
Skills:

• Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively in a remote, entrepreneurial environment.
