2025 Wealth & Investment Management Summer Internship – Early Careers:
This program is designed to attract, develop, and retain exceptional junior undergraduate students who are interested in a career in Wealth & Investment Management. It offers a 10-week, full-time, non-rotational internship experience where participants can gain valuable hands-on experience and build their professional network.
Here’s what the internship offers:
• On-the-Job Experience: Interns work as part of high-performing teams within various WIM business groups, gaining in-depth knowledge of specific areas. They actively participate in daily activities, developing analytical and interpersonal communication skills.
• Professional Support: Each intern is paired with a mentor who provides guidance, answers questions, and offers feedback throughout the summer. They also receive support from a program manager and a functional cohort, creating a supportive environment.
• Virtual Speaker Series: Wells Fargo leaders share insights into making the most of the internship, discuss their career paths, offer tips and advice, and highlight trends in the financial and functional spaces they serve.
• Networking Opportunities: The program encourages community involvement and networking with other interns and full-time analysts across various programs. This fosters lasting professional relationships and expands professional networks.
Areas of Focus:
Multiple internship opportunities exist across WIM’s various businesses, providing hands-on experience in fields like:
• Investment Management
• Financial Analytics
• Project Management
• Consulting
These roles can be in a “home office” or “middle/back office” environment.
Specific WIM Business Areas:
• Advice & Planning: This area focuses on WIM’s advice framework, providing tools, technology, and expertise for advisors and clients, along with support for family offices and practice management.
• Banking, Lending & Trust (BL&T): A Center of Excellence offering highly experienced professionals who deliver cash management, complex custom credit, and trust services to clients. These specialists work collaboratively to provide premium services and products to high-net-worth clients.
• Investment Solutions: This Center of Excellence provides WIM’s investment expertise, solutions, and product offerings. It includes the Wells Fargo Investment Institute, which develops core investment strategies, research, and intellectual capital to support WIM.
• Client Relationship Group: This group oversees initiatives and support for financial advisors and team-led client coverage, including Wells Fargo Advisors, Wells Fargo Private Bank, and digital and contact center teams.
• The Private Bank (TPB): TPB focuses on creating a premier experience for high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth clients, utilizing the specialists within the Centers of Excellence.

Pipeline Program:
The WIM Intern Program is a pipeline for future full-time roles. Successful interns may receive an offer to return the following year and join the full-time Wealth & Investment Management Development Program.
Locations:
Internship opportunities are available across multiple locations aligned with Wells Fargo’s headquarters locations:
• Charlotte, NC
• Minneapolis, MN
• St. Louis, MO
Specific locations are determined by business need, tied to the business function, and are not flexible. Applicants should be open to relocating for the summer.
Intern Responsibilities:
Interns will:
• Interact with leaders at all levels of the organization.
• Provide customer service to clients and internal employees.
• Understand and recommend improvements to processes and workflows.
• Solve problems independently and bring closure to issues and requests.
• Understand business needs and propose solutions, communicating clearly both verbally and in writing.
• Continuously learn new systems, applications, processes, and techniques.
• Lead or participate in projects of moderate size and organizational span.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
• Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills.
• Ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines, achieve goals, and work effectively under pressure.
• Knowledge and understanding of the financial services industry.
Required Qualifications:
• 6+ months of work experience or equivalent (work experience, training, military experience, education).
Desired Qualifications:
• Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree with an expected graduation date between December 2025 and June 2026.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Intermediate Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
• Involvement in extracurricular activities like volunteerism, student organizations, study abroad programs, leadership positions, or non-profit involvement.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Accounting, Marketing, Communications, English, or a related field.
Job Expectations:
• Ability to travel 5% or more of the time.
